Herald Round-up

I've been negligent in posting lately. Sorry.

Anyway here's some of the latest goings on:

The Herald is sharing news stories with the Sun-Sentinel and the Palm Beach Post as of today. Makes sense. Perhaps the first step toward a J.O.A.

McClatchy stock $3.63 at close of business on Friday.

"July revenues fell 16.4 percent on ad revs that were down 19.3 percent. The only bright spot: a 12.8 percent gain in online ad dollars."

Some McClatchy News:

"The News & Observer this morning offered voluntary buyouts to about 320 employees as the newspaper continues to contend with slumping advertising.

The herald might be next.
