The Herald is pleased...

The Miami Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
That's what it says at the bottom of every Herald.com article to which readers can post comments. Here's some of the information and observations being shared about Cubans who drowned trying to make it the U.S.:

As you know, these are the kinds of comments you find on posts referencing Cubans, not only on the Herald, but across the web. So much for zero tolerance of hate speech in America.
