Herald parent The McClatchy Company's stock price closed at $10.76 today. The 52-week high was $41.72. That's a 74% decrease in share value in 12 months. Ouch.

Philip Agee's death, was reported about two hours ago in the Miami Herald.

At first perhaps for twenty
minutes the article had a comment section; I posted a remark saying that since Agee died of
complications from ulcers and that ulcers are caused by Heliobacter pylori this reflects badly on the
Cuban health system. Almost instantaneously my response disappeared and so did the comment section
