PBS is airing a multi-part Frontline special called News War. The program looks at journalism as whole and where it might be headed. Topics include the internet, bloggers, hard journalism vs. soft journalism vs. commentary, etc. It's really quite fascinating if you are interested in the news business.
On Tuesday night PBS aired Part 3 of News War and the part that specifically caught my attention was the part about the L.A. Times and the overall direction the newspaper business might be heading.
You can watch all of the chapters that have aired on-line by clicking here. The L.A. Times story is in part 3 and begins in chapter 21.
