No, I'm not referring to the reality show that has grossly overweight people competing to see who can shed the most pounds the fastest.
Editor & Publisher reports that the last 6 months have been bad for newspaper circulations across the country, but leading the way in the declines was The Miami Herald. According to The Audit Bureau of Circulations FAS-FAX report for the six-month period ending September 2006 the national average loss of daily circulation was 2.8 and weekend circulation was down 3.4% but the Herald easily dwarfed those loses with declines of 8.8% and 9.1% respectively. Ouch.
Looks like the folks at McClatchy have their hands full.

Maybe if they stop pandering to the Cubans, they would actually get English speaking readers and circulation will go up.
